Earth and Man National Museum

The Earth and Man National Museum is founded on 01.01.1986.
On 19.06.1987 is opens its exhibition halls for visitors.
Unique mineralogical museum keeping more than 20 000 samples collected all over the world.
The museum is created on the basis of donations - over 70% from exhibits have been donated by companies and private persons.
The museum is situated in the center of Sofia and occupies a refurbished building - monument of culture, built in the end of last century (1896 - 1898).

The interior is projected by arch. Ivan Radev and the original frescos in the hall are works of the artist Teofan Sokerov.

There are exhibition halls, laboratories, video hall, conference hall, that are situated in functionally reconstructed building and having 4000 sq. m. area.

The museum is open for visitors
from Tuesday to Saturday between 10⁰⁰ and 18⁰⁰ h.
